Ingredients

  • 8 sausages (100g)
  • 8 bacon rashers (50g)
  • 200g plain flour
  • 4 large eggs (60g)
  • 300ml milk (75g)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (5g)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (2g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper (1g)

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (200°C fan/gas mark 7).
  2. Wrap each sausage with a bacon rasher.
  3. Place the wrapped sausages in a large baking dish and drizzle with vegetable oil.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
  5. While the sausages are baking, prepare the batter by whisking together the flour, eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  6. Remove the baking dish from the oven and pour the batter over the sausages.
  7. Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the batter is puffed and golden brown.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
