Ingredients
- 4 medium apples (600g)
- 1 cup plain flour (150g)
- 1/2 cup caster sugar (102g)
- 1/2 cup butter (102g)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (6g)
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Peel, core, and slice the apples. Place them in a baking dish.
- Sprinkle the apples with cinnamon and 50g of the caster sugar.
- In a bowl, mix the flour and the remaining sugar. Rub in the butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
- Spread the crumble mixture over the apples.
- Bake for 40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
- Serve warm with custard or ice cream.
