Ingredients
- 1 sheet Puff Pastry (approx. 200g)
- 3 medium Leeks, thinly sliced (approx. 300g)
- 1.5 cups Gruyere Cheese, grated (approx. 150g)
- 1.5 tablespoons Olive Oil (approx. 20g)
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
Method
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and place it on a baking sheet.
- Trim and clean the leeks, then slice them thinly.
- Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat and sauté the leeks until they are soft and slightly caramelized, about 10 minutes.
- Spread the sautéed leeks evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle the grated Gruyere cheese over the leeks.
- Season with salt and black pepper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- Allow the tart to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
