The new agricultural revolution
The world’s population is projected to increase to around 9 or 10 billion people by 2050, the living standard in many developing countries are set rise as a result, this will bring about a change in diet for most. As a result, demand for food production will escalate over the next thirty years. As the availability of new agricultural land is limited, the farms of the future will need to increase their output from the land that is already in use. In this video, Countdown, a global initiative that drives solutions to the climate crisis, highlights some of the innovative ways farming is being revolutionised to benefit the environment and farmers.
